Organizational Support – Onboarding

You spend time, money and energy sourcing, recruiting, and hiring key employees. Go the extra mile by making sure that senior level staff succeed in their new roles. Supporting new key hires in creating and executing on a 30-60-90 Day plan is an excellent way to help acclimate them to their new role.

Our 3X3 coaching process can help facilitate a mutually agreed on plan that will guide the new employee’s steps in your organization along with setting a baseline for intentions for the first 3 months.

  1. The first step is to familiarize the new hire and the coach with the organizational context and current strategic issues. By ensuring all parties have clarity, you are signaling your support for the individual’s success right from the start.
  2. The next step is to identify the objectives for the new role and determine the time-frame for each, segregating “one-offs” from strategic projects that will take an extended amount of time and effort. Tasks associated with each objective can be plugged into a 30-60-90 day framework.
  3. You can “brand” each time period with a “theme.” We’ve used “Learn, Liaise, Lead,” applicable to many senior/executive roles, but you can pick themes aligned with your organization’s needs that characterize the kind of activity you envision for the employee during each period of time.

When expectations are set and communicated up front, the coach can help the new hire create a formal presentation that provides an overview and work plan.
